apu is the finnish word for ’help’ – because the occasional tables are on hand to help. designer Hanna Ehlers is half finnish and likes to give her designs finnish names. the apu occasional tables are a hybrid of table, plate and vase. apu adds a new member to the family of pure materials used at zeitraum: white utility pottery, with a new function and a new esthetic. Occasional furniture apu - replaceable ceramic pot, white combined with a foot made from turned solid wood, ø 24cm. base in american walnut, oak, ash. the wood is impregnated with natural oils and waxes.
